The above contracts are based upon specific regional requirements and specifications with a number of the larger contracts also operating under formal partnerships. Peek has a proven record of offering best value and service through these open partnerships involving not only the local authority but also consultants and civil engineering contractors. This 'openness' gives clients trust in all aspects of the maintenance contract and in the relationship with Peek.
As part of our partnering service we provide assistance and guidance to local authorities in gaining Sector 8 accreditation for their staff, helping them to meet the challenges of this externally audited accreditation scheme. Peek's maintenance contracts involve looking after a wide range of traffic signal control equipment, including both Peek and third party supplied products. Peek's Engineers are fully trained in the routine maintenance of all types of street furniture and traffic signal controllers. Peripheral equipment such as priority detection systems, variable message signs and communication devices are also included in the scope of the maintenance works. Peek has proved that a good regime of preventative maintenance will reduce the number of fault call outs and prolong the life of equipment, providing best value to our customers. Many of our maintenance agreements are managed to a customer defined Service Level Agreement (SLA), this requires a very disciplined approach to the management and allocation of resources to ensure that key performance indicators are met. Peek achieves this through a structured hierarchy of management and supervision at all our regional facilities throughout the UK and Ireland. We are constantly investigating innovative ways to build on our current excellent service capabilities, to demonstrate continuous improvement and deliver best value to our customers. |
